Simon Tremain

Managing Partner
Simon is Managing Partner of Tremain Real Estate and Tremain Commercial (Colliers Hawke’s Bay and Palmerston North). Simon is accessible to all clients and believes in working with his team in the market.

Simon has worked in the business since late 1993 and believes the company is built on trust and integrity and it is these two key elements that form the basis of Tremains.

Simon is married with four young children and is actively involved in the community through sports events and regular charitable Auctions.

Simon attended Napier Boys High School representing the NZ secondary schools rugby team in his final year 1986. On graduation from Otago University in 1989, Simon took a position with the Bank of New Zealand as a senior Foreign Exchange dealer trading in the dollar/yen. This banking background has proved invaluable to clients when looking for the best market opportunities and analysing the current interest rate movements and the present NZ economy.

He came into the real estate industry at the age of 25 with a commitment to support the family business. Originally he took the position of Marketing Manager, originating and marketing many successful enterprises such as the Tremains Corporate Triathlon.

In late 1994 Simon took over as Branch Manager in the Havelock North branch and began selling residential real estate. Within 12 months Simon had become the leading residential salesperson for the Tremain team in Hastings and Havelock North.

Simon thrives on selling, with the passion expressed by his late father Kel. It is obviously in his blood. He involves himself in top-end real estate in association with his consultants. Simon is also a past president of the Hawke’s Bay Real Estate Institute.
