Get Your Home Ready For Winter

Date: 2nd May 2023

The leaves are falling and the temperature has dropped - autumn is officially here! The chilly and wet weather can be hard on your home so take a few simple steps to protect your home and keep your family warm throughout winter.

  1. Clean gutters as leaves and debris can cause blockages and potential damage to your property. It's also a good idea to check the downpipes and drains too.
  2. Seal gaps and cracks around windows and doors. This will help keep cold air out and your home draft free.
  3. Service your heating before winter. This will ensure it works efficiently and keeps your property warm.
  4. Check your roof for wear and tear and prevent leaks during winter.
  5. Rake leaves and compost them and trim trees to remove any dead or overgrown branches that could be a hazard.

Now is the perfect time to be proactive and prepare your property for the cold winter months ahead. All these tips are also an excellent way to get your property market ready if you are looking to make a move this winter.
