Maria started selling Real Estate in Tauranga in 1986 and after eight years as a successful Salesperson became the youngest Real Estate office Manager in the Bay of Plenty. Her Management career spanned 16 years and involved the setting up of one Real Estate office from new. Her offices consistently won achievement awards.
After a brief 4 year break Maria returned to Real Estate refreshed and revitalized and keen to reconnect with many contacts she has built up over her career, and to employ local and industry knowledge accumulated over the years.
Maria points out that despite the advances the industry has experienced – from cell phones to iphones, dramatically increased methods of marketing, mainly due to internet technology, the things that really matter have not changed. Communication and Open Dialogue is even more important when there is so much information available. “Honesty and transparency is very important, being able to sift through all the ‘chatter’ out there and establish what really matters,” says Maria.
“Each seller and buyer has a unique situation which I take the trouble to understand. Motivation, goals, financial position, family circumstances, can all affect the way people sell and buy. I like to gather the facts so I can help my clients make informed decisions before they rush into buying or selling.”
