Steve was born in Auckland where his passion for real estate and property was evident from an early age.
Soon after leaving school, he became involved with a residential rental accommodation business specialising in matching tenants with rental property. In the late 1980s he purchased the Auckland and Otahuhu operations of the business. In this role Steve gained vast experience in dealing with property and tenancy matters in the busy Auckland residential market. He saw the introduction of the Residential Tenancies Act in 1986 and worked through the changes with many landlords.
Steve made the move to Hawkes Bay in the 1990s and commenced his Real Estate career with Tremain Real Estate – The Professionals as their Property Investment Manager.
In 2002, Steve made the change and joined Wine Country Real Estate Ltd (previously Harveys). In May 2011 Steve rejoined the Tremains team.
Steve has a total of 15 years professional experience within the residential property market - 11 of those spent in Hawkes Bay.
Having completed both his NZQA National Certificate and National Diploma in Real Estate, he was admitted as an Associate of the Real Estate Institute of NZ in 2009.
Steve specialises in the sale of homes in Havelock North, Hastings and Flaxmere as well as Residential Investment Property. As an investor himself he understands the needs of his clients in this field.
As well as specialising in Residential Sales, Steve along with his wife Penny, own and operate Hawkes Bay Property Management Ltd - a successful, independent property management business which manages a large number of residential rental properties throughout Napier and Hastings.
Steve is involved in community organisations and is an active member of The City of Hastings Pipe Band.
Steve lives in Havelock North with wife Penny and three children.
