Fraser joined Tremains in October of 2010, returning to Hawkes Bay after fifteen plus years in Wellington. A product of Napier Boys High School in the mid-eighties, Fraser went onto Otago University where he completed a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Marketing.
An adventurous career in sales and marketing has followed, firstly in retail and then as a travelling sales representative for dental products. Into the world of beer, wines and spirits with Lion Nathan, saw a brief sales stint in Hawkes Bay before being let loose marketing some of New Zealand’s best known beer brands. Five years on and an OE beckoned. Work wise saw Heinz Watties added to the CV with marketing responsibility for Beans and Pasta products in the UK and Europe.
Fraser returned from London for an opportunity any kiwi rugby fan would die for – Marketing Manager with the New Zealand Rugby Union. Promoted to Head of Commercial a few years later saw Fraser maintain responsibility for marketing of the All Blacks, Super Rugby, the Sevens and the Air New Zealand Cup and gain responsibility for all revenue generation. Significant commercial experience was gained through the negotiation and contracting of sponsorship, broadcasting, licensing, ticketing and tour agreements. Despite the highlight of being part of the team who pitched and won RWC 2011 rights for New Zealand, with three failed RWC campaigns behind him, Fraser left the NZRU to work for Ogilvy Advertising in the role of Deputy Managing Director.
It was whilst managing the Wellington office, with prior intent to move the family permanently to Auckland that the lure of returning to Hawkes Bay with wife Nicola and three young girls (Emma, Zoe and Phoebe) proved too great.
Whilst Simon remains firmly at the head of the business, the focus and demands of Simon have changed with broader business interests including Colliers International in both Hawkes Bay and Manawatu. The need for a General Manager and someone with Fraser’s background eventuated.
The opportunity to join Tremains in the challenging role of General Manager excited Fraser who has joined long-time friend Simon Tremain in business. Fraser brings very strong sales, marketing and customer service skills to Tremains. New to the industry, yet having bought and sold a number of properties, he will bring a customer centric view to the business of real estate. Fresh eyes and ideas to help more people buy and sell their properties in the most effective and hassle free manner.
